How my family uses our Smart Home
"Good Morning" sets all the lights we need in the morning: the kitchen, the living room, etc. Each area is set to the precise brightness we like.
"It's time to clean" turns every light to max brightness.
"It's Bedtime" turns everything off downstairs including things we might forget to check- the basement, the floodlights, even the fireplace and candle warmer. It also locks any doors we left open.
"We're Leaving" turns off the entire house including TVs and music.
The porch lights activate by dusk and dawn timers.
We mainly use voice commands because they're naturally simple but we can use an app on our phones if we choose to.
Add all of this to your EXISTING home appliances
The kids can set the playroom lights all blue.
The porch lights are EAGLES GREEN when they win.
When it's cold out I say "Start my Truck" to warm it up.
The fridge alerts me if the breaker trips.
Netflix keeps streaming when the power is out.
The lawn sprinklers rotate daily but not when it rains.
The garage bay closes itself if we forget.
We can lock/unlock the deadbolt from wherever we are.
Any smoke alarm turns on all the bedroom lights.
Leaky sinks send alerts.
We tweak the thermostat from the beach.
